Here's what's going on this week with Carson Bradley Whisler:

Baby Developments:
Well, this weekend marked the 3 week milestone of Carson's arrival into the world. I am pleased to report that everyone is doing quite well. A lot has happened in 3 weeks; here are the highlights:
Our two day appointment showed Carson at 7.5 lbs which was lower than his birth weight, but normal for a newborn. The two week appointment weighed in at 8.4 so he is gaining good weight and eating well.
After 10 days, his "belly button" fell off so we gave him his first bath. His lungs were in full effect for that occasion. Thank goodness that subsequent cleansings are met with much less resistance.
It's probably too early to make a clear distinction, but he seems to favor his left hand when interacting with the world around him. He also doesn't like sleeping on his back and quickly started turning to the side to sleep.
What We're Doing:
Laura is still on maternity leave and I am back at work. We are so thankful to both of our mothers who took time to each stay a week to help ease us into this next chapter of life. My living room has now become a showroom for Graco, Chicco and other fine retailers and I carry a burp cloth over my shoulder at all times. Other than that, it's life as usual.
